Our People

All of the coaches in charge of our classes are qualified to British Gymnastics standards or, in the case of the cheerleading classes to the International Cheerleading federation standards. All have undergone enhanced Criminal Records Bureau checks. All of our level 3 and above coaches and our welfare have attended a British Gymnastics Child Protection: Awareness and Safeguarding course.

Sara-Jane Inglis

Sara-Jane Inglis

Managing Director and Head Coach

Sara-Jane has been a qualified gymnastics coach for over 10 years and is currently qualified to Womens' Artistic Senior Club Coach level (level 4 coach). She is also a qualified first aider.

Originally from Spalding in Lincolnshire, Sara-Jane moved to Norfolk in 2002 to pursue a legal career as a solicitor. She left the legal profession in 2007 to set up TNAG, thus fulfilling a lifelong dream.

Sara-Jane is responsible for the day to day running of TNAG and has overall responsibility for all participants. As well as assisting with the Tiger Tots pre-school programme and co-ordinating the recreational classes, Sara-Jane is Head Coach of the girls' Elite Competition Squad ("Team Supreme") and Elite Development Squads.

Tracy Appleby

Tracy Appleby

Head of Pre-school and Club Coach

Tracy was born and raised in Norfolk and had a successful career as a gymnast herself before starting her coaching career. Tracy qualified as a Womens' Artistic Club Coach in 2004, a Pre-School Club Coach in 2006 (to which she has recently added a Fun4Baby course) and a Womens' Artistic Club Judge, also in 2006.

Tracy is responsible for co-ordinating and implementing TNAG's extensive Tiger Tots pre-school section. She also assists with the recreational and development classes and is the main coach for the section of the Competition Squad working towards the British Club Grades.

Rory Weavers

Rory Weavers

Coach

Rory had a very successful career in artistic gymnastics and tumbling himself before moving onto a coaching career (although he does still compete for his University, in the BUSA championships).

He is qualified to Club Coach (level 3) in General Gymnastics and Women's Artistic and is also a qualified Club Judge in Women's Artistic.

Rory is currently attending University in Bath where he is studying for BA degree in Coach Education and Sports Development. Whilst at University he coaches at Bristol Hawks Gymnastics Club which is one of the top ranked elite clubs in the country.

TNAG has the benefit of Rory's coaching skills during the (rather extensive!) University holidays when he assists with the pre-school and recreational classes as well as coaching the development and competition squads.

Claire Maunder

Claire Maunder

Claire will become TNAG's second appointed Welfare Officer. She has undergone British Gymnastics training in Child Protection.

Claire is also a qualified Club Coach (level 3) in Women's Artistic and is also a National Level Judge in Women's Artistic. She regularly judges at national events and is Judging Convenor for Norfolk. She regularly assists us at TNAG with judging routines prior to competitions.

Helen Inglis

Consultant

Helen is employed as Acrobatic and Dance Development Co-ordinator for Sheffield City Council, with responsibility for the development of gymnastics, trampolining, diving and dance in the city. She also has a first class honours degree from Sheffield Hallam University in Sports Coaching and Development and is a Senior Club (Level 4) coach in Women's Artistic.

Helen acts as a consultant advisor to TNAG on issues surrounding gymnastics development, community projects and school-club links. 

Janine Barrett

Senior Coach and Club Welfare Officer

Jan is a vastly experienced and highly qualified coach in various disciplines within the gymnastics family - she is a Senior Club Coach (level 4) in Womens Artistic, a Club Coach (level 3) in Men's Artistic and a Club Coach (level 3) in Gymnastics and Movement for People with Disabilities. Jan is also a qualified judge to Club level. Jan coaches the TNAG Development and Competition Squads as well as assisting with recreational classes.

Jan is also TNAG's primary welfare officer having undergone training in child protection not only via BG but also in a wider context as part of her work as a School Nurse at a school for children with severe learning difficulties and complex health needs.

Dan Chapman

Director

Dan is a non-executive director of the Norfolk Academy of Gymnastics Ltd,  and played a key role in the the birth of the Academy.   

Dan continues to have a keen involvement in the commercial, legal and practical activities of the Academy,  and plans to oversee the ambitious expansion and development plans that the Academy has for the coming years.  

Outside of the Academy,  Dan's full-time career is as a Solicitor.  He is a Partner at Leathes Prior Solicitors in Norwich (see www.leathesprior.co.uk) and is head of the firm's Employment Team, and is consistently rated as a leader in his field by all of the independent guides to the legal profession.   

Dan is particularly keen to foster commercial links between the Academy and local businesses,  and to explore ways to raise funding to assist talented gymnasts and their families.
