MOVEATHON

MOVEATHON 2009!TNAG will be hosting its first major fundraising event in April.  The purpose of the Move-athon, is to raise money for much-needed equipment that would be utilised by all users of TNAG.  Activities will be as follows:- Week commencing 19th April (just after the Easter break from school).  Each child in their given class will perform a gymnastics move of their choice as many times as they can and will hopefully gain sponsorship from family and friends in order to do this.  Squad groups will be informed by their main coach, as to when their Moveathon will be.Saturday 18th AprilSquad display at 1.45pm - Parents, family, local guests will be invited into the gym to watch a display by the squad groups. The charge will be £1 per person.  Open session for parents & family – Following the display, this will be an open session for parents and family to ‘come and try it!’.  In this slot, parents are welcome to take part in the Moveathon as well!!Cake stall and games – from 1.30pm the reception and foyer area will be buzzing with a cake stall and some fun games such as ‘guess the depth of the pit!’ Sponsorship forms are available from the website (in download section) and in addition each child will be given a form in March.  A child can be sponsored as a total amount or for each repetition of the move that they do! All monies raised will go towards purchasing wall bars, floor bars and mirrors! What can I do to help?TNAG very much needs your help.  If you want to get involved:-- please ensure your child has a sponsorship form and collects lots of sponsors! - bring along family and friends to watch the display- bake some cakes for the cake stall- speak to Helen Inglis or Julia Kenzitt if you have any great ideas or would like to get further involved!- donate a prize for one of the games that will be taking place on Saturday 18th! Please note - Classes will run as normal up to 1.30pm on Saturday 18th April.
