Medals for Norfolk Teams at Inter-County competition

MEDALS FOR NORFOLK TEAMS AT INTER-COUNTY COMPETITION Norfolk Academy gymnasts made up the bulk of both teams which represented Norfolk at the Inter-County team competition at Ipswich on 15th November. The level 3 team is open to out of age level 4 and 3 gymnasts only and all of the TNAG entrants in the team had competed at level 4 earlier in the season so had to step up a level and alter their routines for this event. Sienna Sprong, Shyla Norkett, Grace Ashworth and Melissa Brown made up the team along with Norwich gymnast Natasha Rushbrooke. All of the girls performed well in some difficult circumstances and placed third out of the six competing teams to take the bronze medal. Summer-Jade Kenzitt, Naomi Loome and Sarah Kett made up the FIG team along with Norwich’s Natalie Jarvis. Once again, all of the Academy girls except Summer were stepping up to a level higher than their usual competition level. The girls managed to do this very well and had a very good stab at meeting the testing FIG requirements, showing good understanding of the rules and cleverly constructed routines. The team placed second and took home well deserved silver medals. Well done girls!
